Matin Turner

Martin Turner is currently a Management Consultant working in the Health Sector. He has recently returned from Australia where he worked as Chief Executive for the Health Services in Adelaide. Martin worked for over 20 years as a Chief Executive in the National Health Service in the UK and prior to that he worked as a senior Finance Executive in the Health Service.

During his career, Martin has been responsible for managing a number of mergers and reorganisations within the Health sector in the UK and Australia. He has also worked as a consultant in the UK and abroad, including acting as an advisor for the Ministry of Health departmemts in Jamaica and Lithuania.

Martin completed the Senior Management Program at Harvard University in 2000 and is a Fellow of the NHS Staff College. As a fellow of the college he led management programmes for executives and senior clinical staff.

He was the founder member and President of the Health Service Society of Certified Accountants and as a Council member for ACCA, Martin has been an active member of a number of its standing committees, including the Market Oversight Committee, the Staff Committee and the Remuneration Committee. Martin is a very keen sports fan -especially rugby union, and tries to play golf when he finds the time!
